Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
BRIKS Technology Inc. (“BRIKS”, “we”, “us”) runs briks.ai. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@briks.ai.
Two kinds of data
Your account. When you sign up, we decide how your account details are used, as described here.
Your business’s data. When you connect your website, inbox or store, the data in them, including your customers’ messages and orders, belongs to you. We process it only to provide BRIKS to you, on your instructions.
What we collect
Account
- Your name, email address and business website.
- Your password, which our sign-in provider stores in hashed form, or your Google profile if you sign in with Google.
What you connect
- Your website: the public pages, policies and products we read to train your website assistant.
- Gmail: the messages in your inbox, so we can sort customer emails and suggest replies, and permission to create reply drafts. Drafts stay in your Gmail for you to review. BRIKS never sends email for you.
- Shopify: your products and recent orders, and, if you choose to publish one, permission to add a page such as your FAQ to your online store.
Your website assistant
- The messages your visitors send it, any contact details they choose to share in an enquiry, and the ratings they give its answers.
The AI visibility check
- The website address you enter, the website’s public pages, and your email address if you unlock the full report.
Using the site
- Page-view analytics in aggregate, collected without cookies.
- The cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run BRIKS: answer your visitors, sort and summarise conversations, check your AI visibility, and answer your questions about your business.
- To send you emails about your account, and occasional tips you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To support you, keep BRIKS secure, and prevent abuse.
We don’t sell your data or your customers’ data, and we don’t use either for advertising.
How we use AI
BRIKS uses AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Cloud to write answers and analyse conversations. To answer a visitor, your website assistant sends their message to a model. When we analyse conversations, we remove email addresses and phone numbers first. We use these providers’ business services, under terms that don’t let them use your data to train their models.
Google user data
BRIKS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Gmail data only to provide the inbox features you turn on: sorting customer emails, summarising them, and drafting replies.
- We don’t transfer it to others, except as needed to provide those features, for security, or to comply with the law.
- We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t use it to train general-purpose AI models.
- No one at BRIKS reads it unless you ask us to, it’s needed for security, or the law requires it.
You can disconnect Gmail at any time in BRIKS, or from your Google Account’s security settings.
Who helps us
We share data only with the providers that run parts of BRIKS for us, each under its own data protection terms:
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Vercel: hosting and analytics
- Resend: email delivery
- OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Cloud: AI models
- Google and Shopify: the connections you choose to make
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to a buyer if BRIKS is ever acquired, under this policy.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can disconnect Gmail or Shopify at any time, and we stop collecting from them straight away. To delete your account and its data, email hello@briks.ai from your account’s address. We’ll delete it, except anything we must keep by law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each business’s data is kept separate from every other’s. Access is limited to what running BRIKS needs.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@briks.aiand we’ll respond within 30 days.
- California: you have these rights under the CCPA. We don’t sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines it, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
- UK and EU: we process your account data to provide the service you asked for, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving it. Your data is processed in the United States, under the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you’re a customer of a business that uses BRIKS, that business controls your data. Contact them first, and we’ll help them respond.
Children
BRIKS is for businesses and isn’t meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above, and email you about any significant change before it takes effect.
